About my truck!
I love this truck! I got it in March, 2003 after going through a lot of things in life. It replaced my well loved '90 Toyota pickup that gave me a good 13 years. This one is a v6, 2003 extra cab Tacoma, automatic, TRD package. It's still stock at this time but shhhhh! it doesn't know that! (grin) This little pup has tried everything I've asked it to and doesn't complain!
Runnin' with the big boys! During the Sierra run (see Eagle's Lake Feb. 7, 2004 below) we (my truck and I) showed that looks are decieving as we more than kept up with the big boys in the snow! Even got to help pull someone else through a rough spot!
Bits and Pieces: July 20, 2004 FINALLY! Didn't think it would happen this soon but somehow I've gotten a set of sliders for my truck! These are single square black powder coated sliders from Demello Offroad. Thanks to all who helped! Check out the installation!
September 2004 Well, somewhere along the way I ended up putting a nice dent in my tranny pan. What was suppose to be a simple fix turned out to be a really good learning experience!
September 26, 2004 It's growing up! Well, while shoppin' for new tires it became clear that a 3" suspension lift might be a good thing so it's happened! It's a 3" Tuff Country Suspension lift.
Feb. 23, 2005 New tires! Finally got things together and was able to order my new 32" tires! These are the Bridgestone Dueler M/T D673. They have a wonderful ride on the freeway and passed the snow test very well! After 3 days of runnin' around on them so far I'm extremely happy. And being an M/T they're surprisingly quiet as well! Now to find some mud and give them one more test! (grin)
July 29, 2006New air intake/filter system. Got a new AEM kit installed and so far so good! Getting 1 mpg improvement so far! (hey, every little bit helps!) Check out the install!
update 11-24-06: I am now getting 2-3 mpg improvement with the AEM! My mpg is now back to when the truck was stock and still somewhat new!
